So I was digging around in my grandfathers antiques and I came across an old violin from 1897. The markings inside say it was made by Joseph B Demers in Newport, VT USA in 1897. I tried searching online and couldn't find any information. Does anyone have any information or know any rough value, I know the sound is what determines the value but even a ballpark estimate? I am wanting to restore it and learn to play violin.
