hi
I'm a absolute beginner left handed violin player and just getting violin setup, I'm looking for shoulder rest.
I looked at all the top brands (Wolfe, Kun and few others) but have not noticed any left handed shoulder rests, they also don't mention whether there universal or not.
Are all rest universal, just looking at pictures I wouldn't think they would be.
Thank You in Advance!!

Hello,

I know this post is old so you may have a solution by now. But in case you don't, here is one website I found that sells left shoulder rests: http://www.teamworkhandcrafts.com.au/music.html.

Or, you could use something like the Wolf Primo and just turn it around: http://www.sharmusic.com/Shop-Shar/Accessories/Essentials/Shoulder-Rests/Wolf-Forte-Primo-Violin-Shoulder-Rest-fits-3-4---4-4-size.axd#sthash.hxRJ8rXI.dpbs

The last thing I would suggest that you try is some sort of foam shoulder rest. Those are very versatile.
