Instruments-are-
awesome

Hello,
I have a recorder, I think it's a tenor recorder as it has a single key for the last opening. It's a 3 piece wooden instrument with "Concerto made in Germany" on the box. I've searched for hours and can't find anything like it. I'll try to figure out how to attach pictures and will post soon as I do. Thank you
Looks like I need 25 points before I can post a picture

Hello
I am new to forum. I have been playing recorder for many (30) years and like all discussions about it. I have found best sources of information are two recorder sellers, Antique Sound Workshop (USA, Mr David Green) and Saunders Recorders (UK, Mr. John Everingham). I guess any retailer comments should be taken with a grain of salt but these two have very good advice. Saunders has a list of many makers, some out of business, and I found that Kobliczek had a model called the "Concerto" Maybe that's what you have. There should be a maker's mark. See attached link and go to other models. There you should see the Kobliczek models. http://www.saundersrecorders.com/rframe.htm

I love 8 notes but also there is a facebook group for Recorder Players and Enthusiasts where you can post a picture and there are members who can identify almost anything. It's most probably a tenor with a single key. NM

18" is an alto, 25" is a tenor
