Can the profile picture that is displayed to the left of an individual post be a 'point in time' reflection of the profile picture?

Right now, when a user updates his/her picture, all posts by that user are updated as well. But many posts are made in response to that picture, and do not apply when the picture is changed.

Can the picture on the post remain the same even if the profile picture changes?

I understand what you're asking, but from the fact that every forum I've ever seen changes every post's picture when you update it, I would guess that either it's not possible, or it's impractical (such as far too much work)

I can understand his posts better than I can understand yours.

I also understand. It is too much work, I did a little web design. You have to figure a bunch of codes and crap. My teacher wasn't willing to go into it that much.
