I agree Ian Gillian is great.

How many here have even heard of Glenn Hughes? I am just curious. He has got to be one of the most blessed rock vocalist of all time and so many just don't know him. He began singing/playing bass in about 1969/70 with the band Trapeze. Songs like Medusa, Seafull, Coast to Coast, Jury - they are classic Trapeze songs. Glenn then went on to co-sing and play bass with David Coverdale in Deep Purple in about '74 or so (With the Burn album). Glenn has been putting out solo albums since about '92. The lastest album just put out this summer is called Music for the Divine...it is FABULOUS.

And I have to say that Glenn is an AMAZING screamer himself...quite known for it. My favorite album is probably Addiction (put out in 95/96 or there abouts).

If you like powerful screamin' rock vocalists...you should check out Glenn Hughes. It is criminal that more here in the US don't know about him. He is wildly popular in Europe and Australia.

Hughes is amazing.

If they had to replace Ian Gillan in 1974, Hughes and Coverdale were inspired choices.

As my brother once said, "Gillan was so great, it took two really good singers to replace him."
