Wow so where to start? First off you`re so stupid you post a link that doesn`t even work
Secondly, Kurt does NOT have a more energetic voice than Frank Black, give me a BREAK - Kurts voice is ~> WEAK <~ by punk standards - Secondly, Nirvana didnt "start" anything, if you believe in the term grunge, then Soundgarden & Green River started it long before
Nirvana was the first band to "sell out", sign onto a major record label, prostitute their music on MTV, & make 4 music videos for one album, & appear on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine.... AND YOU`RE ACTUALLY BRAGGING ABOUT THAT?!?!? What the HELL is to be proud of you MORON?! You`re acting as if Nirvana being the first band to sell out is something to BRAG about - You`re acting like it`s COOL how CORPORATE Nirvana were... What the hell is holding you back then, right now, from bragging about how cool MCR is for how corporate they are?! What`s the difference?! Let me tell you something you stupid poser sh!t kid...
The Clash weren`t corporate, neither were the Ramones, neither were the Sex Pistols, neither were the Buzzcocks, Badbrains, or Misfits... OR PIXIES...
Nirvana WERE corporate, Nirvana weren`t a punk band you f-ing wannabe dumbf*ck child of MTV... People like YOU who think Nirvana were a "punk" band are the same type of people who are calling Green Day "punk" today, no difference.
& how dare you show your stupidity by comparing Nirvana to Jimi Hendrix or the Ramones in terms of revolutionary - NO ONE argues that Hendrix/Ramones were revolutionary, people DO argue on whether or not Nirvana is, THAT`S THE DIFFERENCE. If Nirvana was just as respected, no one would argue it.
& Of course when the Beatles first started they were accessible, but not for long at all... So I`m not getting your point here idiot - Whereas the Beatles started with being accessible, they grew into real musicians.... The OPPOSITE happened for Nirvana... Nirvana started their career off with the raw "Bleach", & the next thing we know they`re making music that was MORE accessible than the Michael Jackson album they were kicking off the charts - No f-ing wonder
OH!!! And about you insulting `OK Computer` being voted the best album of the past 25 years because a British magazine voted it & therefore has no credibility...
HERE`S A LINK THAT ACTUALLY WORKS YOU F-ING LOSER, CHECK IT OUT - WHO`S THE BEST AMERICAN BAND OF ALL TIME ACCORDING TO A COUPLE MILLION PEOPLE? I WONDER....
http://www.usatoday.com/life/columnist/popcandy/2005-07-05-pop-candy_x.htm
Can we end the conversation now? Does that officially end the conversation? No, seriously, take a good look at Pearl Jam`s place on the list, then take a good look at Nirvana`s... Seriously, can we end your uneducated stupid conversation now?

"IF THE PIXIES WERE A MULTI-PLATINUM BAND YOU WOULD NOT LIKE THEM"
I LOVE THE BEATLES, THE ROLLING STONES, PINK FLOYD... and PEARL JAM, ALL MULTI-PLATINUM BANDS YOU IDIOT!!! NIRVANAS MUSIC WAS A CHEAP RIP OFF OF THE PIXIES, THATS ALL!! THE PIXIES HAD BETTER MUSIC! DEAL WITH IT!!! NIRVANA DIDNT START TO GET DECENT UNTIL THEIR LAST ALBUM!!!
And I NEVER said you never heard the Sex Pistols, I just think its bullsh!t youre trying to preach punk when youre obviously not much of a fan of it to begin with you LOSER
And another thing - You said I lied about a couple million people? How the hell do you know how many people voted? It`s USA Today you idiot, they`re not small time - Between every band that got votes, it was easily a couple million votes... Even then, THINK ABOUT IT, it reflects the majority of opinion
You think more Pearl Jam fans read USA Today than say, Aerosmith fans? What kind of sense does that make?! PEARL JAM WON BECAUSE THEY REFLECTED THE REAL OPINION... While your precious Nirvana was at a pathetic 18th place... Do you think Nirvana wouldve been 18th a few years ago? HELL NO - Like I said, Nirvanas popuarity is dying... DEAL WITH IT
Oh yea & about your stupid comment earlier.. Why would someone buy from amazon when they could just go down to best buy?! WHAT THE HELL DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE YOU IDIOT?!!? THE FACT WAS `TEN` WAS SELLING BETTER THAN `NEVERMIND` & I GAVE YOU A WEBSITE TO LOOK IT UP.. IT DOESN`T MATTER WHICH WEBSITE OR WHICH STORE.. IT SELLS BETTER IN GENERAL.. WHY? BECAUSE ITS A MUCH BETTER ALBUM
`Nevermind` SUCKS you POSER, it SUCKS, its a sh*tty overrated album that has aged HORRIBLY, its so outdated & old its absolutely not interesting to listen to at all whereas albums like Daydream Nation from Sonic Youth & Disintegration from the Cure, both released before Nevermind, are still CLASSIC - Thats exactly why Nevermind isnt a classic, because its aged horribly
TRUE CLASSIC ALBUMS DONT AGE, ANOTHER REASON WHY THE PIXIES & PEARL JAM ARE BETTER THAN NIRVANA - `TEN` SOUNDS AS FRESH TODAY AS IT DID THE DAY IT CAME OUT

Ten sounds just as fresh today in your own damn opinion. No one goes around preaching how Ten was such a revolutionary album. Nevermind had an effect on the population that Pearl Jam could never have dreamed. Oh, and dumbass, Nirvana pulled the same thing as the Beatles. Bleach was raw, Nevermind was more accessible, but you once again exclude the truth by discounting In Utero, AN ALBUM THAT WOULD`VE BEEN MORE RAW IF KURT HAD HIS WAY. But wait, you like in utero, or its decent, So all you tried to do was turn this into was an anti-Nevermind rant, once again, the point of this.
And oh, wait, you LOVE the Beatles but I`m unbelievably unoriginal when I have 3 of there cd`s in my top 10?
HYPOCRITE
Oh, and why do albums sell better than others. According to you it`s because they are better, well THEN THE BACKSTREET BOYS ARE BETTER THAN RADIOHEAD, THE SMASHING PUMPKINS, EVEN FUCKING JIMI HENDRIX. GO FIND A HOLE TO DIE IN, YOU`RE AN IDIOT.

Here we are you showing how SMALL your mind is again to the point where you can`t recognize CIRCUMSTANCE... The Backstreet Boys were WAY more promoted than Radiohead, THATS why they sold more albums, not because their music was better
`Ten` in no way, shape, or form was more promoted than `Nevermind`, `Nevermind` was more promoted than `Ten` - the reason `Ten` outsells it IS BECAUSE OF MUSIC ALONE. So your BSB argument is irrelevant & a different situation. If your small mind can grasp that.
" No one goes around preaching how Ten was such a revolutionary album"
Um, yes they do you moron, many people do - You`re even contradicting yourself here... I AM PREACHING HOW `TEN` WAS SUCH A REVOLUTIONARY ALBUM... I am just some RANDOM music lover who found a random board and I AM preaching it you idiot, you make no sense - You want to know what speaks pretty goddamn loudly moron? How wannabes like you preach how great `Nevermind` is, & how revolutionary it was, & how it makes the Rolling Stone/Vh1 top 10 album list & blah blah blah blah...
Here`s the impressive thing... Even with all that, `Ten` still outsells it... Now THATS saying something. As "revolutionary" as you claim the album is, & how it "changed" everything & how `Ten` sucks & blah blah blah... `Ten` still slaughters it in album sales even though `Nevermind` is still way more promoted.
We could go back & forth all day on the Pixies thing - I say Frank Black is a way better singer, & you know what? Kurt Cobain would`ve agreed.
Now here`s my favorite one... You said Nirvana had an effect on the population Pearl Jam couldn`t of dreamed having...?
UM, IDIOT, DID YOU GET THAT LINK WHERE RANDOM PEOPLE VOTED PEARL JAM THE GREATEST AMERICAN ROCK BAND EVER, & NIRVANA WAS 18TH?! ... Wow, they had SUCH an effect on the "population" beyond Pearl Jam`s dreams.. THAT THEY CAME IN 18TH PLACE WHILE PEARL JAM CAME IN FIRST PLACE?!?!
Goddamn you`re stupid!
And I never called you unoriginal for having any Beatles album in your top 10, in fact I`m definitely a bigger Beatles fan than you. In a whole, what I`m saying is, if you chose `Nevermind` as your favorite album, it was either because you`re trendy & think it`s "cool" & real "generation-x`y" to do so.. OR, your musical mind is incredible small & somehow an incredibly weak album in many ways captures your attention. I`m guessing it`s a little bit of both.
Think about it.. Just think... If Pearl Jam is already being voted by AT LEAST thousands of people & winning the title as "Greatest American Band Ever" when their career isnt even over yet... while Nirvana is coming in 18th place... Just imagine 10 years from now.
Haha.

And one more thing, popularity absolutely does not determine greatness.
Just look at Soundgarden. They are at THE LEAST, one of the 10 best metal/ hard rock bands ever, and they were always underappreciated, even after Superunknown.
Pearl Jam is the most popular american band of our time, no doubt, but are not better than, and weren`t more revolutionary than Nirvana.
Oh and Seal-Nut, if it`s lists you want, then may I let you know that on VH1`s list of The 100 Greatest Hard Rock Artists (A list determined by actual musicans, columnists, producers, etc., not "some random people"), Nirvana ranked #6, and Pearl Jam was #21 (Beaten not only by Nirvana, but Soundgarden (#14) as well).

1. Brave New World - Iron Maiden , my favorite Maiden album and the return of bruce and adrian make the energy of this band just shine again like the times of number of the beast.
2. The Number of the Beast - Iron Maiden, my favorite album until brave new world came out, greatest song of all times is here, Hallowed be thy name.
3. Painkiller - Judas Priest, classic heavy metal at its best, the rawness in the riffs and the great vocals and solos make this an awesome album with 10 powerful tracks that never dissapoint. Between the hammer and the anvil is the best song here, Painkiller too.
4. Hellfire Club - Edguy, This band is a mix of powermetal with classic heavy metal, and this album shows exactly what i mean, great songs
5. Kill em all - Metallica, i couldnt end this list without my old companion, fuking awesome riffs and jaw dropping solos. four horsemen and no remorse best songs.
I only list these five albums because they are the only albums that i remember right now that i actually enjoy every single song. I can play these albums with no skips, i love every single song.
Also, who gives a fuk about nirvana or pearl jam, they both suck donkey balls, really dudes what the hell is wrong with you two, listen to some real music. But any ways if i had to choose between those 2, id choose Nirvana, pearl jam blows (so does nirvana but not as much)
Metal up ur asses!!!!
