"Pearl Jam is the most popular american band of our time, no doubt, but are not better than, and weren`t more revolutionary than Nirvana.

Oh and Seal-Nut, if it`s lists you want, then may I let you know that on VH1`s list of The 100 Greatest Hard Rock Artists (A list determined by actual musicans, columnists, producers, etc., not "some random people"), Nirvana ranked #6, and Pearl Jam was #21 (Beaten not only by Nirvana, but Soundgarden (#14) as well)."

Yes, they were better than, & they were more revolutionary than Nirvana. Seal-Nut, I don`t respect your musical opinion at all... `Faint` by Linkin Park is your favorite song of all time - Quite frankly, I think your opinion is a joke & you can`t seem to think for yourself - You also contradict yourself... Do you know why Pearl Jam is the most popular American band of our time? Because their music is considered the best. Period. That`s why. The most logical answer is usually the right one. You can`t argue that Pearl Jam`s the most popular USA band of our time because of promotion either - The fact is, Pearl Jam made less music videos than AIC, Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, & just about anyone else - Pearl Jam did it purely on music alone... So your own sentence proves you wrong.

Secondly, I saw the Vh1 list & know what you`re refering to - HOWEVER, that VH1 list is about 6 years old... The USA Today list is just last year... Things changed.

Go to rollingstone.com and check out their list of the immortals, or the greatest rock artists of all time.

Nirvana #27

Pearl Jam Unranked

Pretty accurate

Seal-Nut, I`ve really had enough, so just don`t talk to me.

If you want to talk music with me like a human being, that`s cool.

But if you`re gonna keep on being the heartless, cold-blooded mother ****er that you are, just shut up, all right?

Blah blah blah moron - A few years ago, Rolling Stone magazine came out with the 10 best bands ever - Pearl Jam was number 7... Nirvana wasn`t in the top 10 - Whether PJ beats Nirvana or Nirvana beats PJ, it all depends on who writes the article, its usually one persons opinion - In USA Today, it was thousands of opinions, what`s more accurate?

Oh & by the way, I wouldn`t exactly call that Rolling Stone magazine article "accurate" - First off you`re making a point that Pearl Jam is unranked....

SO WAS PINK FLOYD - ONE OF THE MOST CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED, BEST SELLING ARTISTS OF ALL TIME

I think it`s so funny you`re trying to present that article as accurate - Yet someone like Aretha Franklin (who`s only real well known song among most people, "Respect", wasn`t even written by her, it was written by a man, she just covered it_ Yet SHE outranked not only Nirvana... but Led Zeppelin aswell, the very band you`re representing with your own screen name

So if you`re trying to use that article to your advantage, you just look stupid.

You prove your stupidity more with every post. That list was voted on by some of the biggest names in the music industry. Think before you type retard.

Um, moron... You`re trying so desperatly to avoid looking stupid with every post - How does WHO voted on it matter as much as how MANY people vote? Do you want me to agree with you that the list is correct?

If you present this list as accurate. If you`re presenting this list as something you agree with. Then therefore you think Madonna is better than Pink Floyd, you think Aretha Franklin is better than Led Zeppelin, you think Fat Dominos is better than Nirvana. Just because these people are in the music industry DOES NOT mean it has much accuracy.. In fact, quite the opposite - Depending on the issue of MONEY, and being PAID OFF, this list could`ve been very slanted in aspects, that`s just one problem with how it was done. When you ask thousands of random people, THAT`S WHERE YOUR REAL ANSWER IS.

So you pretty much agree with all that then, right? Since this list of yours is so accurate.

You are a very stupid person who types very stupid things & you don`t even think before you type, stupid. You desperatly try to keep some ground in this debate by ignoring things, taking a very small portion of an entire post of mine, & addressing it in an unspecific way. Just give up, you`re making yourself look so goddamn stupid by now.

There is NO list that could possibly be more accurate than asking THOUSANDS of random, unbiased rock n roll fans & asking them to vote - rock fans of all ages, all religion, all color... Then asking them to vote. Random people who write in.. That`s all, thousands of them. That is incredibly more accurate than asking a few dozen BIASED people in the music business to comment on which artists have impacted them. You retard.

O so those people are all unbiased, right? You talked to everyone of them and made sure. First you put words in Cobain`s mouth, now in thousands of peoples mouths.

Dipsh*t - It was an OPEN VOTING POLL... whoever wanted to write in and vote could - What is wrong with you? Is this really that difficult to understand? Are you really that stupid? All insults aside, im asking seriously, are you really that stupid? WTF is hard to understand? USA Today asked their readers to vote... They did... And Pearl Jam won. Nirvana wasn`t even close. Rolling Stone magazine asked people in the MUSIC BUSINESS... people with something to gain - People who may of been heavily influenced by one artist, who wasn`t very influential at all. How influential is a band like `Fat Dominos`? I mean really... They`re on there because one or two people said they should be.

Pearl Jam AND Pink Floyd not being on this list proves its just another silly inaccurate RS list to sell magazines... USA Today did it accurately, & the answer is how it is. Deal with it.

Oh & don`t give me crap about me spending a long time to reply to you, loser, I type over 80 words a minute. Less than 1% of the population in the USA types that fast.

"First you put words in Cobain`s mouth"

& I`m not putting words in Cobain`s mouth. Cobain SAID he thought Nirvana were Pixies rip-offs.
