Why would I care if you made a Gilmour thread? Why would anyone care? Go ahead & do it. Also, Gilmour was far from being Pink Floyd.... Pink Floyd, in essence, was one man backed by a great guitar player who was Gilmour.

Roger Waters was Pink Floyd. Pearl Jam is Pearl Jam. If your favorite band is Pink Floyd, that's no reason to back up a Gilmour album.


Also to Cartman - I DON'T hate Nirvana "so bad" - I think they were decent, the most overrated band ever, & a rip-off of the Pixies... That doesn't mean I hate them - Also I like the fact Pearl Jam isn't considered the main "grunge" band, I'd rather them be considered the main number 1 1990's rock band. I don't think "grunge" is a good term, like you seem to think I do.

Also, you say "respect other peoples opinions man"... What if I DON'T respect your opinion though? What if I think you don't know enough of anything you're talking about to respect your opinion? What then? I don't have to respect anything about any of you... Someday you'll learn to live with it.

I posted this message in the Iron Maiden Vs Pearl Jam forum but just so that you know Pearl Jam is not better then Iron Maiden and nirvana combined as a matter of fact Pearl Jam and Nirvana aren't even as great as Iron maiden.


Actually Iron Maiden Has Sold 10 Million More Albums then Pearl Jam has and Iron Maiden has never had a proper US Debute. Iron Maiden Has Not Only participated But Headlined in every Important Festival like Gods of metal, Reading and Leeds Festival, Monsters of rock, Download Festival, Rock In Rio, and Rock Am Ring. and Iron maiden is one of the most Influential bands ever. When Iron maiden was anounced as the headliner band for ozzfest Ticket sells boosted to sell out every concert in advance. untill that problem they had in san bernandino CA. Performing in front of 255,000 people in brazil ain't no walk in the park.

Actually your wrong it was 490,000 fans If you mean sarsfest and it was with ACDC and Rolling stones. It was to benefit a cause. My cousin went to that Concert. Tickets were extremely cheap since artist performed for free. If you listen to reviews ACDC was the most wanted. when acdc finished their set people began to leave. so if you think 255,000 fans is a walk in the park. Then there is something wrong with you buddy.

umm yeah but don't forget that rolling stones performed in front of 1.2 million people BUT BUT It was a free concert. people could just go without paying a dime. The biggest audience rolling stones ever played in front of a paying crowd was Sarsfest with ACDC. With 490,000 People To benefit a cause. which means the ticket prices were extremely cheap since they all performed Free. sooo as you do see 255k fans ain't a walk in the park there. lol
