dudes i dont think he meant that they are the same band members. i think hes trying to say that they all sound the same, obviously hes a rookie and knows !***! about heavy metal or music, but anyways ill try to describe some of the differences between these bands for those who are intrested,
Judas Priest is based on a twin guitar riff that are as raw as it gets in heavy metal, simple, fast, hard, and catchy riffs with some good double bass drum here and there and shrieking vocals by rob halford. the solos are mind blowing with good sweeping and tapping work on them. very simple heavy metal with a good taste and many classics, best album Painkiller.
Iron Maiden is distinguished by an amasing bassline on almost every song, making the bass a third rythm guitar and a few solos here and there. Also Maiden has a more melodic feel to it in the guitars not as heavy as judas priest, but a little more complex. Amazing shared solos among the guitarists. Vocals are operatic with a heavy metal rawness in them. Maiden is known by there fans for there amazing epic songs in each album with great elaborate instrumentaion. all there albums are great, but my favorite is brave new world, but you cant leave out the classics, number of the beast, piece of mind, and if you want more prog like heavy metal, you can check out seventh son of a seventh son or Somewhere in time.
Iced Earth i have only heard one album that was supposed to be the best according to many fans, so i checked it out, it is named some thing wicked this way comes, or something like that, and i did not like it. they had good riffs and all that but no originality, plus i didnt like the singer in that album, the voice was to deep and didnt have a good range. i understand that ripper owens is the new vocalist(ex judas priest), that could help them out, but still they dont compare to Maiden or Judas.
