Yeah but the point is that everyones forgotten about the !***! bands and only the really good ones have survived. Also Iron Maiden are massively overrated.

<long sigh> Anyway, yes, to the original poster, My Chemical Romance is awesome. They somehow manage to infuse their Goth-Punk-Aggro sound with a lot of passion and emotion. Their sound is aggressive, yet still melodic, and I love their newest album because there's never a feeling of 'this album sounds like one too-long song.' Even though MCR isn't my fav band it is definitely one of my favs. (I don't really have one, my tastes are too eclectic. But I am really excited about Anberlin right now)

Sometimes i will go a whole week or two with listening to all metallica, SOAD, Ozzy, and other random metal bands
then i cant stop listening to anything from a snowboard video, I mean almost all songs from the DC mountain Lab are just awesome or so goofy that its addictive.

i agree! if you don't lk the music then leave!! i like MCR's first album better... when they were still in the underground... i LOVE anberlin's song day late... also A Static Lullaby, The Shooting Star That Destroyed Us All is so addictive... i can listen to it over and over and not get tired of it...

whew, glad I'm not the only one that posses a grain of maturity. It's cool that you love Anberlin too (aren't the lyrics to A Day Late absolutely perfect?). Even though I know a lot of people like the first MCR album because that's when they were still underground and they only had real fans, keep in mind, they were still underground even after Three Cheers came out; they only became mainstream after the Helena music video. Honestly, the music in the second album just hits me in a different way than the first. Of course, it's all personal. Btw, have you ever heard of Just Surrender?

no one has forgoten about those old, awesome bands! They are among my favorites! I have just heard all of them SOOOOOOOOO much that I just kind of grew apart a little and cant call them my absolute favorite anymore. Why would I join this forum if I didnt like Zepplin or Iron Maiden? That would be retarted.

the 'new' band i like is audioslave (even thought the members started their careers in the late 1980's). Audioslave only formed in 2000. and have only relesed 2 albums, so I see them as new.

Silverstein is a fav right now. They have improved so much from one album to the other....mmmm hardcore. Actually they just rereleased their newest album. The DVD has some kick ass live performances!!!
