The Clash. Pretty much the only good punk band.

The Dead Kennedys are also pretty cool

I would say Green Day, but that's only because I'm a teenage girl uneducated in the ways of good music before the start of the millenium

Green Day is in no way, shape or form punk rock.

I dont really have an oppinion about punk music.. but, hey.. I have to reply this topic.. Haika.. he ain't heavy, he's my brother!!

i know that green day isn't a traditional punk band, but isn't it punk to give a big f u to all the rules? if you look back in thier history that's what they used to be about, but i almost want to cry over american idiot

i'm not a huge punk fan, but i'd have to go with the misfits.

ya om ok... greenday IS NOT punk... and i haven't heard much of the misfits to know wat i think of them... sooo ya

Most of the post-punk bands are awesome like Joy Division, Television and !***! like that.
