Hey guys, I'm looking for some advice. Basically, I'm doing some work redoing an artist's website (female rocker). Unfortunately, looking at other, similar websites basically leaves me with the feeling that there's a lot lacking in this area.

Basically, I'd really like to know:

1) What you guys immediately look for from an official artist's website?
2) The best, if any, examples of good musicians' sites?
3) Do any of you use RSS or mailing lists to keep up on artists?

I want to be able to create a site that people will actually ENJOY using, and it'd be great if any of you could help me out.

Best,
Mike Bogo

Lots of music to listen to and lots of pics and vids to watch. Make it more enjoyable and interactive. The band logo must be cool too. But I doubt you'll be able to change that lol. Keep it simple, not to confusing for us headbangers.

SJGamer, good stuff, although I'm kind of curious as to what you mean by more interactive? Any chance you could give me an example or an idea?

Maybe a blog? or a comments page for ppl to chat in? I know it sounds like I'm describing a Myspace page now lol. Or maybe a 'whiteboard' for people to draw stuff in...but thats what Bebo do.
