NIRVANA! 3 amazing albums: Nevermind, In Utero, Nirvana Unplugged in New York. Before them, nobody changed rock music since the Beatles. They were great...imagine if they were still around.

every one knows that the best band in the world are linkinpark, now i know that they are not everyones cup of tea , but in three albums they have done only 1 slow song. they are allways upbeat and never let anything get to them, plus its the music that counts and they can make perfect music

They have 4 albums if you count Live In Texas. Hybrid Theory, Reanimation, Meteora, and Live In Texas. They have a few imports too. Park is one of my favorite bands right now, but you can not even start to compare them to other bands in talent level. Except for the drummer basically none of them have talent, they know 3 chords and how to scream, that is it. They do know how to get your agression out though. They cannot be called an elite thing as Greatest Band Ever, they just cannot. And also in my opinion, this is just my opinion though, to be a true rock band you have to play slow songs, true rock is not just about screaming and jumping around, it is an art, a rendition of feelings, you have to have slow songs to be a true rocker. Out and Out.

the Beatles are the only band ever to cover all genres of music. Every album is like a totally different band. Songs like Stawberry fields, I am the wwalrus, Happiness is warm gun, helter skelter, Let it be, hey jude, A day in the life are just a few examples. The beatles are also the only band that you`ll here on rock stations, classic rock stations, oldies stations, love soft stations, the evevator, the supermarket. their songs have been covered by other artist more than any artist. they have sold an estimated one billion records worldwide. they were creators not imitators like the rolling stones or queen.

The greatest Rock bands ever would have to be The Ramones, David Bowie, Queen, and Nirvana. Linkin park freaking suck. They do rap-metal and it sounds like crap.

How can you even come close to calling Queen imitators. They have some of the most inivative songs ever, nothing even comes close to similar to anybody elses songs. I mean What The Hell?!?!?!? Of all the rock I listen to, Queen sounds the most different from any of them. And how you say the beatles cover all genres and always were changing, that is CRAP!!! The beatles never changed once, all of their albums sounded the same. I know that they basically started rock, but any band could have done it, none of their songs took talent, it just so happened that they were the first group to ever try that sound, and so they are amplified as this great thing. They really are not good at all comparing them to other bands.

come on, linkin park isn`t the best band, but they`re not the worst, either. just because all of their songs are "upbeat" doesn`t mean ANYTHING. alice in chains managed to make a lot of songs that were slow beat and they were just as great as any linkin park`s "upbeat" songs. (besides, like i said in the begining, you can`t choose ONE band to be the greatest; it`s just too hard.)

oh yeah. don`t be stupid. I bet you know more beatle songs than queen songs.
Queen had what? Five hits. In what? 15 years. It took the beatle only about 6-7 years
(1964-1970) to make dozens of hits that have inspired more musicians than anybody else.
Open your little mind. Truth hurts don`t it? Queen themselves have said that the beatles were the best.

The greatest rock group of all time was unquestionably
THE BAND. Made up of Robbie Robertson, Rick Danko, Levon Helm, Richard Manuel, and, the greatest musician I have ever seen or heard, Garth Hudson. People looked to them for comfort through their music in a time that haunted by many things. They were overlooked and underrated, but if you listen to them you will see why they are the GREATEST ROCK GROUP OF ALL TIME.
