there are many more i cannot think of. although i respect the opinions of everyone on this board, good charlotte is not good music in my opinion. on one hand i think they are indeed posers and i miss the days one could rely on musicians to produce music that is meaningful and is what people can relate to and want to hear instead of them using studio time and an album to bitch and whine about crap all the time, and that theyll soon lose popularity like so many others. on the other hand i feel that im just getting older and set in my very outdated musical taste. id hate to be like the people who knocked nirvana and pearl jam when they came out. i say listen to what you want and what you enjoy, dont worry about who else likes it.

I agree with clarinet girl! I love Queen, but I think Pink Floyd is the best ever, however Queen and the Rolling Stones are close. Hell, maybe they are the best, but i choose Pink Floyd because I have not yet heard a song from them that I don`t like. As far as the insult about the Beatles goes, they aren`t my favourite, but that doesn`t mean they weren`t a good band worthy of recognition. Just because they aren`t heavy, doesn`t mean they aren`t good.

Why are people so ignorant! Good Lord! Linkin Park is pathetic. Rock is meant to require skill and talent, not some lame ass riffs that my little brother could play. What about bands like Metallica? Queen, Pink Floyd, the Rolling Stones, all the old, big bands were good, mostly. The classics. None of this new rock crap is even worth a damn. It`s mainstream rubbish only intended to make a bunch of fools rich, but not to encourage creativity and eccentricity, or even skill. And there is nothing wrong with liking old bands! I mean, what`s the point in only liking something new? Because you are not over 40 does not mean you can`t love the old stuff. The old stuff was the good music! It always will be. It doesn`t just lose it`s quality because it`s been in existence for more than 10 years. BLAH!

I agree with Hole man. Just because you are not old doesn`t mean you can`t like the classics. Classics are teh best, and yeah I am only 15, so yeah.

I would have to say Queen, Linkin Park and probably The Beatles(for being such innvators and gettin rock really started). but thats just my opinion. But queen is definatly #1 in my books. I am 17 and listen to their greatest hits albums all the time still. Just such good music.

If you`d ask me,Queen are the best,they have beautiful music and some fantastic people like may and mercury.but also good are and the beatles,pink floyd,metallica and others.

What real classic albums have Queen had? They`ve had many good songs, but most of their albums have been patchy to say the least.

that may gave been their weak point,but i think there is no doubt that queen are one of the greatest.classic albums-night at the opera,the works,innuendo.queen didn`t have so astonishing individual albums,but on every album there was at least one to two all time hits.i think that for example pink floyd or led zepellin didn`t have a song like bohemian rhapsody or we are the champions.but that`s only my opinion,no offense.

Watch you guys. I hear some dudes below telling me that you cannot say a new band is better than the classics, old bands. So it means that you cannot say an old band is better tham a new one. I mean, i respect the Beatles a lot but dont you realize that a band become a classic because a bunch of people listened to it. The other day, i was in a cafe and there was a top 500 list of all-time greatest songs. Believe it or not the best rock song in the world is suppose to be Stairway to Heaven. Bullsh!t, it just turned on the radio for years and then people say «it must be a good song, i hear it all the time.» Conclusion: a song is good only because you find it good, you can`t be objective and say that it`s good because a lot people think so.

linkin park to me is the best band of all time. They put hard work and effort into their music and their hard work and effort made them huge succussful Rock stars.
