The Beatles are currently leading the ranking Best rock band ever on rankopedia. They sport a substantial lead over Led Zeppelin and the Doors. Then come the Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd. The ranking includes more than 80 bands, it's pretty cool.

B) How did the Red Hot Chili Peppers manage to score above Van Halen?? Actually, the fact that they're even on there astonishes me...

well being a nirvana fan i would have to say nirvana is the best. but the beatles are rock n roll and they are definately 1 of the most influential bands in history

there's no denying the influence of the Beatles and their overall greatness but i'm more for the Rolling Stones and i can't believe they just missed out on the top three placings! but the Beatles are always going to come out top in those sorts of rankings!

i agree with most but i mean radiohead... why r they there??? also oasis and why in the !****! is U2 #9? I mean thats pretty high praise for a band who has been around for 30+ years and still doesnt have a song i can stand to listen to...

OK this list is completely messed up!!! Alot of these bands shouldnt be even up there. Nirvana is absolutely overrated. Radiohead, Metallica, Creedence Clearwater Revival , and Oasis aren't even that good. Jimi Hendrix, Van Halen, and Deep Purple have to be at ranks 4, 5, and 6. I think RUSH should be ranked as one of, or the greatest band of all time, but they're just too underrated. But that might be because I'm just a really big fan of RUSH.

this could quite possibly be the worst list I've seen so far.
if any band on that list should be number 1 it's NIRVANA or BLACK SABBATH otherwise here is my list of 5...in order

When you learn who CCR and Rush are I will accept your opinion. Until then your opinion is biased and you do not have ample knowledge on the subject.

The Beatles deserve that spot, that is why they always win. Nirvana does not deserve the number one spot, they are good but I would put both CCR and Rush in front of them.
