If you let me say my opinion, wich is legitime.All the band listed are bunch of crap, maybe except Nirvana, because of the charisma of Kurt. Otherwise, Alien Ant Farm is probably one of the worst band ever, AT MY OPINION. And stop saying "this band is the best ever, over the planet, and maybe more." It`s just too silly. Music is a subjective thing, stop thinking your tastes are the one we all should have.

Although I myself am not a fan of them, I do, however, enjoy listening to rock... Some bands do in fact possess a certain degree of talent...
...Well, OK, maybe the bands above hide those talents very well, but I disagree with you about Nirvana.
Interesting lyrcis, pretty good music, and although Kurt`s voice isn`t divine, it works well with the music and is rather emotional and expressive... Which is what a lot of people appreciate.
I`ve replied to this thread before, but since I had a little encounter with a certain member I guess it wasn`t seen as fit to remain here...
My favourite bands are all related to rock: Muse (IMO one of the best modern bands around - absolutely incredible vocals (Matt Bellamy is god-like... Sometimes I really think that with enough effort he could try opera singing), great guitar work (Matt Bellamy again. The love of my life), mind-blowing piano (YES! You got it, folks! Matt Bellamy! By the way, trust me on the piano - I`ve finished music school, I should know) and some nice bass (Chris Wolstenholme) and drums (Dominic Howard), and the product of this chemical reaction is really, really good music), Radiohead (very, ah, "interesting" lyrics, pretty good vocals (listen to the acoustic version of "Creep") and very good music) and recently I`ve taken a liking to Marilyn Manson (who I never thought I`d like).
Oh, and Blur are pretty good too... Lovely last album.
