Surely no one over the age of 12 listens to Marilyn Manson?

I listen to him.
He has a couple of good songs...
He`s smart, too. I`ve yet to see anyone who`s so talented at building a certain image and getting attention...
In any case, I don`t see what it is you have against him.

It does have a rather. . . "interesting" melody!
Kinda like Queens of the stone age gone Emo!

I don`t have anything particularly `against` him, what I dont get is how he is percieved to be so good, he is gereric nu-metal...no more no less. The fact that he was somehow used as a benchmark for good music was frankly, laughable...

Ah, I see...
I sort of agree with you, he is far from the best out there, but still, his music isn`t badly made in the technical sense...
But, as I`ve said before, I see your point.
However, nu-metal?
Hmmm... I don`t know...

Well i can see him as vaguely nu-metal. What defines nu-metal, i should probably search the meaning on the internet but i`m too lazy!

Who ever said Marylin manson only has 12 year old listeners need to take a stool softener. Of the millions of Cds hes sold I doubt that the majority of them are of that Demographic. I listen to him and I am far from 12.

Oh, yes, it is.
According to a poll made a few years ago, it is the 8th most popular name...
Go Russia! Go Russia!
*Sings anthem*
Soyuz nerushimii respublik svobodnyh...
(So what if it`s the Soviet version... I prefer the words there...).
Russia owns every other country out there, it does, and Moscow is the pearl of cities... *Shimmies*

i need help also w/ writing a new song. i am lookin for a song that sounds dark but will also have a great beat to it. i am stuck on my lyrics, and have been for a few days. i cant think of anything that would go along w/ what i got in mind. if you got any ideas of how to get a good start on a song i would greatly appreciate it.

well if your finding trouble starting it... my best advice is FIRST find the beat and rythem of your song because lyrics depend so much on the beat... you cant have 3 line sentences if your beat is not suitable... so if you find your beat and the topic you can then try and think of a sentence which will fit into the beat properly.
i dont know much so dont really listen to me.
errr you must be a real patriot, olga.

yea, i usually do it the opposite way. i find that it is easier for me to write the lyrics, than i write my music. i make the music about how i feel during the song. i.e. happy = fast uptempo beat w/ nice solos and whatever. but i do appreciatte your advice... i will probably try it your way also, just to see if it will help me.
