May not be perfect but good lord its better than 99% of the replies I`ve seen on this post... Please people get your head out of the classic rock genre here. Think out of the Jimmy Page/Van Halen/Hendrix box...
Vocalist: Jeff Buckley
Guitarist: Joe Pass
Bassist: Victor Wooten
Drummer: Buddy Rich

"You assign a role...you say ok Buddy Rich is the best drummer in the world. You don`t re-examine it. You just accept it as a reality. And I think I went thru many years just accepting it without ever having to go back to the records or re-examining that opinion. Having the opportunity to do that made me realize...well, it was astonishing as to how good he was." Neil Peart RUSH

I sincerely appologize for the poor performance of my desktop for not refreshing soon enough for me to see my first (and second) post script come through. However, seeing as how pertinent this article/quote is to this matter, I deemed it necessary to be sure that my posts arrive and are shown on this site.

Drummer: Neil Peart
Guitarrist: Hendrix, Page, Santana
Vocals: The lead singers from Pearl Jam, Creed, Stone Temple Pilots (those are "MEN" voices, perfect for rock songs, not sissy high tones like Mercury and others).
Bass: Geddy Lee, Harris (Iron Maiden), Flea.
A NOTE ON NEIL PEART: Many ignorants and/or old timers who have never listened to Peart, dare to say he`s not the best drummer ever, but they have no clue what they`re saying. Saying Bonham is better than Peart is simply brute ignorance. PEART CAN PLAY EVERYTHING BONHAM EVER PLAYED, but in contrast, if Bonham were alive, he couldn`t ever play half of what Peart plays. PEART INCORPORATES MELODY TO DRUMS, PLAYS FASTER, MUCH MORE COMPLICATED AND MELODICALLY THAN ANYONE, AND CAN PLAY VIRTUALLY ANYTHING OTHERS, LIKE DAVE LOMBARDO OR LARS ULRICH PLAY, and of course, he can easily play any solo an old-time jazz player like Gene Krupa or Buddy Rich ever played. He`s almost from another planet, but many people disregard him for being Canadian and playing in a Canadian band (Rush), the same as many disregard Hendrix for being black and Santana for being Mexican. Hendrix on guitar and Peart on drums, the best musicians ever, they do/did things simply impossible to do for all other players of the same instruments, pure and simple.

Some of your coments are good but some are not like, Mercury has a sisy voice are you a loon he has the best voice in rock history better than whatever his name is out of pearl jam he sounds like a cat getting docted witout any antiseptic. Mercury is the best and only goons who knows nothing about music says things like that just like you.
You should be ashamed of yourself saying such a stupid thing like that come back when you learn more about music.
Queen are the best band ever.
