Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and the Jimi Hendrix Experience are the greatest. The Experience may have only been around for like 3 years but they produced an incredible amount of great music in that time.

robert plant is probably the best singer. hes better than mercury
jpj is probably the 3rd best bassist but hes also really good at keyboard and can play pretty much any instrument
jphn bonham is the best drummer just because he was so innovative the way he hit the drums so hard

Led Zeppelin is the greatest rock ensemble ever. Every bandmember was a virtuoso (Musicianship, what a concept), and they had the songwrititing to compliment their incredible skill.

Even The Beatles and the so-called greatest rock band in the world The Rolling Stones (Who I`m actually a big fan of), Led Zeppelin was the first and last true all-star band, and the greatest rock band in history.

High Fives Tina thats right SLayer lol but greatest band ever Is Led Zeppelin. Years of beatles i think there wasn't as much variety as in the 70's where led zeppelin had more competition. 8 years before led zeppelin is still quite a difference of time.
