The greatness of a band is down to how influential they are/were. Sabbath and Zeppelin being among greatest. How influential do you think limp bizkit are? Will they even be remembered in 10 - 20 years time?

The best "bands" of all time are Zepp, Queen, ACDC, Metallica, last but not least, ozzy
All of these bands were influential and stand the test of time. Not to mention all the great songs they all have.

and basically all the bands that the guy that posted this first said were kinda sucky. I mean limp bizkit cmon that was the biggest fad next to the backstreetboys no way should they even be mentioned in the same sentance as Zepp or Queen

Why is nobody mentioning Bob Dylan as influential. He is by the far the most influential artist in the history of rock music. Without him and his incredible lyrics, rock would still be the same pop crap that it was in the 50s.

man u guys need to stop the obvious best bands of all time r: Foreigner, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Aerosmith, and lets definately not forget "hello" Rick Derringer

Ok we all need to be grown up about this there are some very good bands out there and i think all Classic Rock is great i love it such as AC/DC, Kiss, Foreigner, The Who, Guns n' Roses, Poison and a ton of other bands all r very very good bands there all legends in my book except for one person I jus have to say this one thing Screw BOB MARLEY!!! he is a ducshbag and thats all i have to say

let us not forget some of the other great bands such as Nazareth, Deep Purple, The Eagles, Eddie Mony, SuperTramp, Steve Miller Band, Blue Oyster Cult, Alice Cooper, Pink Floyd, Styx, and Lynard Skynard these guys r legends with some great songs such as Another Brick in the Wall, Dream Weaver, Two Tickets to Paradise, Free Bird, Sweethome Alabama, Desparado, Hotel California, When i Was Young, Come Sail Away, No More Mr. Nice Guy, Ballroom Blitz, Love Hurts, and My Woman From Tokyo

what the !****!. Foreigner and Poison among the greatest bands of all time? I don't think so. Poison is a !***** hair metal band which is one of rocks most disgusting genres. Foreigner are just mediocre but neither of these bands can compare with greats like The Stones and Pink Floyd.

Is limp bizkit stil around? i've not heard of them or their music for quite a few years now. good riddance to 'em though, cant stand their white, rock, rap. they'll never be anything like the beastie boys. and nobody can come close to Rage against the machine. They rule!
