Not sure whether many people have heard of Thomas Newman..??

I love him. He`s a fantastic composer and his music is amazing..

He has composed pieces for a lot of movies like American Beauty, Road To Perdition, Shawshank Redemption, Little Women, Green Mile, Pay It Forward.. so many more!

I only buy films for his music!! :D

Anyway. If you have heard of him, he has a song called (I think) The Plastic Bag Theme from American Beauty. I still love it.

Anybody know where I can find this?

I think Thomas Newman`s work to date is amazing. If anyone knows where I can find the sheet music to "Road to Perdition" please let me know. The song "Road to Perdition is one that I am looking for in particular.

I too have been looking for almost a year for the sheet music for "Road to Perdition"--I`m beginning to think it was never meant to be on the market, `cause I`ve looked everywhere. Please Joseph, can you arrange a few pieces from RTP if you can? You have no idea how grateful I would be.

I too am a Thomas Newman fan..his music is wonderful. Has anyone ever seen or know where I could get the sheet music to the theme from `Meet Joe Black` ??? The movie came out in 1998 and I still cannot seem to find it anywhere
Every once in a while I will hear a bit of it but in a different movie or show but never the whole score from `Meet Joe Black`. Any help would be greatly appreciated !!!!!!!!!!

hi i dont know if its true but i was in a music store the other day, and one of the staff said that he thought that they had had the sheet music for RTP, but that it sold out quickly! i too have been looking for it! such a great score, they must publish it

I like Newman`s work too and found some sheet music for piano solo for the Green Mile and Simple Truths off of sunhawk.com, but I haven`t ordered from it so I wouldn’t know what the music is like and if it`s a safe site. Too bad there isn’t some sort of transposing software to help.
I don’t know if I helped at all, but if any of you have Thomas Newman sheet music, where did you get it from?

I have the "The Green Mile" theme, "Simple Truths", and the "American Beauty" theme. "GM" I bought off of musicnotes.com, "Simple Truths" is in a movie theme book I bought, and "AB" I also bought off of musicnotes.com, but it`s not a single, it`s in a book. If you do a search, you`ll find it.

I am also a big fan of Thomas Newman. I`ve been looking for the Little Women sheet music, which really should be available since he got an Oscar nom. for it. If anyone knows how to find it, please let me know! Thank you!
