i have ust started playing the cello, and I rent a Bayer (Hungarian wood, made in 2003). I haven`t broken a sting yet, but on my other rental i did and I didn`t have a spare (and the sound post was down) and to make i lnlog story short, i now understand just how much pressure a cello without a soundpost can handle. I do however need a spare set of strings (just incase) and I really want to know if i have to spend 80usd to get a decent set of strings. I`m also 14, so the budget`s kind of tight.
