hey,
my band director was telling us he may be putting a jazz band together next year for those of us who would like to be in it. my question is, is it hard, easy, good, bad for an oboe to play in a jazz band? any oppinions are welcome!

My band teacher says that oboes don`t sound good in the jazz band. Originally I wanted to play in it, also. But I figured out that the oboe sounds better in some type of symphonic thing. Well, sorry if I didn`t answer your question lol.
