I Know this might sound stupid, but are the fingeringsfor the mellophone the same as for the french horn? I`mtrying to teach myself how to play, so I need alot of tips. Please!!!!

som of them are but most of them aren`t. They are actually the same as trumpet fingerings. Why I have no idea. Its really kinda stupid that its the marching form of a french horn but some of the fingerings are completely different.
