Jake,
I don`t how you might have gotten that idea, but "Take Five" was not written for any kind of movie, TV show, or advertisement. It was just some piece written by some guy in the early 60`s, and it just happened to become a jazz standard. Here`s a link to a bio of Dave Brubeck. Maybe it will give you a better idea.
