today when i was putting my clarinet together i had to make sure it was mine(it is) because the cork on the upper joint just looks so unreal! It looks like the cork is being squeezed shut. This could account for a problem i`ve been having with the sound on some notes.

should i get this looked at?!? please help i have a parade in 5 days!

I don`t play clarinet but I play oboe which is similar
If you get lessons with anyone, ask him/her about this otherwise, definently get it checked by someone at a music shop,. YOu may need it re-corked.

Soz this isn`t much help

i tried to play the oboe as my first instrment but my learning curve was a little slower than the clarinets so our band director talked me into switching to the clarinet first then see where it goes from there. Here i am 4 or so years later and i still play clarinet =)
