I am trying to find the best mouthpiece and reeds. I am currently using a Selmer C** and Vandoren strength 5 reeds. I am having a hard time properly breaking in the reeds. Any suggestions

Hey there,
Do you play the oboe, sax, bassoon or clarinet?
Write back and I`ll see if I`ll be able to help you

Oh, soz u play the barisax right?
Well for reed maitanence, try and handle them very carefully when using. When you`ve finished playing make sure u suck all the saliva out of it before putting it away otherwise it will get really `mushy` and breakable. There are these reed holders you can buy to hold you reeds, ( u probably have one). If u just started playing the sax, trust me, u`ll get used to looking after them after a while.
Wat do u mean by good mouthpiece?
