ive been playin trumpet now for about 4 and a half years and the high notes come real easy to me now. But the downside is im goin to be forced to get braces for my teeth. I dont know if i should because my conducter depends on me alot and i dont know the time it takes to start a new ambatoure and im wondering if any 1 here had this problem before and if they could help me out that would be great.

I know someone that had the same problem and all they did was practice! Sorry i can`t really help u but i know how u feel. I played the oboe for a year with braces and man it would hurt! Cuz ya know how u have to curl ur lips under ur teeth, Yeah that`s why it hurt!
