Thanks for your answers in my last question. I have another one. I am playing on the ligature that came with my Selmer C** mouthpiece (you know those cheep 5 cent stuff). My sound is alright. Do I need a 90 dollar Vandoran Optimum ligature for my sound to improve, and if so, what other kinds of good ligitures for the bari sax are there out there? Thanks

Oh, no way. A lot of professionals use the Optimum ligature, but I think it`s far too expensive for what it`s worth. I would recommend getting a Rovner ligature. For bari, it`s about $17, I think. I have been using one for alto for about 3 years, and it`s still working wonders for me. You can more than likely find one at a local wind instrument retailer.

Cheers,

Thomas
