I play flute now and dabble in and out a few other instraments, but today my band director asked if any flutest would like to switch to basson...I`m not sure about it, but I`d love to try. I need to learn about the costs, difficulties and other random things about the basson before I commit to it...any help guys??

My daughter is going from flute to bassoon in the spring and I would love for someone to give me tips also. I am looking at ebay for one now, but have no idea of what I should consider. I would love a list of those to buy and those to stay away from.
