Hey,I am in band now for my 4th year. I am a freshman in highschool now and we have a new bad director. My first year of marching also. I have a few questions on my embochure or however you spell it. When playing a "marching french horn" how should your embochure be? Where should the mouthpiece be on your face? Should the mouthpiece come down and put pressure on your top lip or should it come strait at you and put pressure on both lips or should it come up and put pressure on your bottom lip? I was told that my beginning band teacher (a freakin` clarinet player) taught me my embochure wrong. My director has tried to explain how it should be, but I just dont get it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
