HEY! Take it easy! Go to this website: http://di.bounceme.net/alpha_j.htm and you`ll find a great arrangement of the tune. It`s a MIDI chart, with the sax playing the melody and the piano playing the part just like it is on the record. It`s a great arrangement (not cheezy!).... if you have POWERTRACKS or another sequencer, you can transpose if you like and then print the sheet out... it`s a great chart! Have FUN!!! LOVE THIS MIDI STUFF!

Did you ever find a piano score. I am looking for the chord chart. There is a guitar tab of the song on olga.net.

Hi Elvin
I`ve just discovered this site whilst looking for somewhere where I could buy or download the piano music for "Don`t Know Why".
I am hoping that since you left your message in June that somewhere has emailed you the score - and if so, you could then email it on to me.
Look forward to your reply

I heard an excellent version of this song recently and I`d love to get the sheet music. Did you have any luck?

Hi everyone! My apologies for not having left any message since June. (My God! June, was it really?!) Hopefully this is going to make up to you; at least I was flying high on this for quite a while, that`s for sure! The URL mentioned somewhere above (and more than once; one wouldn`t overlook it very quickly, I daresay!) by Tony (http://aure.com/norah-jones/ , that is) had already appeared to me to be the stairway to heaven! It features (for all the songs on the album!) mostly `empty` bars, with the chords above them, and once you know these by heart: just improvise! After all: it is a kinda jazz, now innit?! And besides, if you`re behind the piano on your own, you don`t just play what Norah does herself. You`ll have to fill in for guitar, bass and drums as well! But if you do need something more elaborate, this looks fairly nice too: http://www.olga.net/dynamic/browse.php?local=main/j/jones_norah/dont_know_why.tab
(I haven`t tried it though, so please don`t go and send me spam and viruses if it turns out to suck tremendously!) Anyway, (imho) IMPROVISE is the word. And as for the lack of guitar, bass and drums, try to blend in some rhythm of the latter and the laidbackness of the former, and emphasize the chromatic scale played downwards by the guitar in the intro. Just don`t be too hard on yourself; remember you`ll (probably) have to sing at the same time, and that`s complicated enough as it is. Well, I hope this is satisfactory to most of you, and I wish you all the best of luck. Enjoy!

The webpage http://jeanies_home_studio.tripod.com/music/id13.html has it for free. This website has a lot of free sheet music from new alternative bands.
