Hi, my friend is playing flute in Elementary Band. She has a flute that she is renting, but wants to buy a new flute. We were wondering which brand of flute is best. She is in the Advanced band (her first year only!) Would it be best to buy Open Hole or Closed hole? Also, Teacher said that she makes very good tones, has great finger coordination. She wanted to buy an Open Hole so she wouldn`t have to change again. Which one would be best? I hear one of the very popular brands are Yamaha, Armstrong, and Gemeinhardt. Are there any GOOD flutes under 250 that are new? Thanks
