Next year I will be the only flute player that will be in sinor band. I started in beginer this year and moved up to sinor in less than two months but the girl that is the other flute is REALLY good. and I have no idea if i can be as good or better than her, Im only in 7th grade and its hard were playin high school songs and Its getting really hard to keep up with her. I cant even do a simple run. what should I Do?

do you love playing? if you really love it stick with it. it doesn`t matter if the other girl is better than you as long as you love and enjoy making music. if she is better and you are sitting a chair behind you it will help you to learn. you will be able to listen to the rythms she plays and pick up on things. i played flute from fourth grade till i graduated highschool. i was never in the first 4 or 5 chairs. keep at it. if you love it and practice you can only improve. especially if you`re only in 7th grade. don`t give up.
