I`m a really good flute player, but my band directer doesn`t notice me. All these people who i`m better than are getting into jazz band and i`m not. HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Do you want to play Flute in Jazz Band? I currently play the flute, and it took me a while to get into my jazz band because of my instrument. Not many Jazz Charts include flute, and when they do they are written in the Alto Sax part. If you want 2 play in Jazz band on the flute I would suggest learning how to transpose while you are sight reading, get very fimilar with the 3rd register (from High F to C) and projection.
