I was just wondering. My band director is ordering a new oboe, and I`m going to try that. I was just wondering if anyone could give me advice on whether or not this is a good idea.

what sort of grade are you on trumpet? If ur doing well then dont stop maybe learn both instruments? If ur not enjoying it that much though, you could swith. Its up to you tho

This will be my 3rd year playing the trumpet. I`m guessing that I`ll end up playing both, but this is the first time I`ve ever really had an opportunity to try something else. I found out that tubas aren`t really meant for trumpet players, though, so I may end up just sticking with the brass. Thanx for the advice!
