hey guys i have a problem i have an old geminhardt its pad on they very 1st key is coming out and someone told me like 5 months ago it might be a problem i cant get a new one right away though this summer i will but i play stuff and on f`s g`s a`s high d`s and b naturals it will play sometimes and than other times it wont and it sounds like it has a leaks on it does anyone know what is wrong and what it is cheaper to do fix it or get a new one i am looking at a yamaha

You could probably just take it in for a service. But if your looking at a new one Emerson flutes are lovely, and have a better sound than the Yamaha ones. Mine was $300 (Australian) Student ex- rental

Repai it. Thatfs all i can say, My flute has been repaired a few times this year i have a little sister who sat on it an hour before a march and the joint broke off compleatly.. it was a mess but it only cost 20$ so i think a pad will not be as much.
