Hello Geekoids,
OK First up I play a real instrument and only get the urge to kill when playing the clarinet. However, being a doubler I don`t have much idea about top end clarinets. I am needing a new clarinet as my buffet is not cutting the gig anymore. I have nothing but contempt for new instruments and my saxes and flutes are old Selmer`s and Heinze....So what`s the ideal Mk6 equivalent for clarinets? ....Must be Selmer people....
Look forward to reading some responses...
Thanks,
Sparky.

Selmer BT (Balanced Tone), is the best non classical horn they every made, followed by the 9 series, and then some of the 10 series. They all have some problems with keywork and intonation according to Buffet people, but then Buffet`s and LeBlancs don`t have that "Selmer Sound" that you really want, even though there are others that are all around better. The BT is the top rated jazz model that Selmer ever made.
