I am shopping for a decent but inexpensive used flute but don`t have a clue what I like other than the Gemeinhardt 2SP. I can`t afford a professional model flute, and am just getting back into it after 20 years. Is there a "consumer reports" type comparison website or something? One "for dummies" would be even better, since I`ve been out of it so long ...

Don`t have the answer for you but I expect you would have more luck if you put your question on the flute forum on this website. Click on "forums" up top and you will see all the different instruments. You may not get much hard information but you will probably get a lot of opinions! (Maybe someone will also refer you to something)
