I have recently purchased a guitar and long to be able to play recognisable tunes/songs. However when I strum the guitar all I get is "brum" no matter what strings I "attempt" to hold down. I have so many questions for example;
Is the guitar tuned?
Am I strumming the guitar right?
But all I really want to know is can a real beginner actually learn guitar or is previous musical knowledge required?

I can guarantee that you can play a guitar. I play a guiatr now for about one and half years and it is really easy. i think that probably is the best that you find some good guitar techer who can tell you all about playing the guitar. This is the best and esaiest way to start playing. Guitar is not a hard to learn.!
