My son is entering college in the fall and is in need of a bari sax. I have been searching but have no idea what is a good brand. I know Selmer is the best but is out of our price range. I can buy a Monique Low A high F# new for $1600 but have never heard of this brand. Any suggestions? He has been playing bari for 6 years but the sax belonged to the chool. Thanks for the help.

i would not reccommend monique. they play very out of tune. i tried one on a tuner and it was all over the place. You might want to look at ebay, that would be where you get you best deal. Make sure that the person has good feedback before bidding.
