Hi, I know Bradley gets upset to ask of value, but I really need the help. After not playing the clarinet for many years, I decided to give it a try again. I looked on Ebay and found one I thought sounded pretty good. I called a local music shop and the guy told me it was worth about $1,000.00 retail. WOW, did I think i was getting the deal. Then after I got it, it needed padding and cork work, so I took it to another shop closer to home and I asked the guy about the value and he said $150.00. It seemed crazy to me since he had some selmer`s in the window for 600.00, but i don`t know much about them. So I don`t know what to think. I looked on the Selmer website, but I didn`t get anywhere with it. Can anyone tell me where to go to find out about this. I guess for peace of mind I would like to know if I got the gold mine or the shaft???? I pd. $200.00 for it. The mouth peice has paris marked on it, but the bell is american. New Jersey, i think. The case is not in great shape either, looks like the original. Thanks for any help.
