I JUST started learning the tenor sax today. I told my teacher that I wanted to be in the school`s jazz band next year, and she suggested tenor sax. So now I`ve got one and I`m trying to learn it using a flute book (I`ve been playing flute for 5 years) and saxaphone fingerings I got off the internet, which is REALLY hard. I`d get a tenor book, but I`m broke right now. Anyone know somewhere I could find lessons online? My e-mail is tirialththeelf@hotmail.com. Thanks in advance!

you should calm down and just learn the fingerings like you were studying for a test

I got a program called Saxtutor from the net. Cost about $10, gives fingering positions/notes/note names/too many scales to mention, and a few other bits.
I have found it very useful. They have a trial version too.

I have been playing T.sax since Christmas and the fingering only took me a week or so to learn (longer to get good at it) it`s fairly logical, and you should get the hang of it pretty fast if you practice each day.
