Heya all you french horn players! I am a serious clarinetist but I adore the sound of a french horn. That is the only other instrument that I would ever consider! I very much enjoy listening to Gunter Hogner perform. Anyway, I have a question: How do you go about winning the heart of a french horn player? Anyone have any tips?????

umm.....first way to a french horn player`s heart is give up the clarinet. second way is doughnuts. or pie. third is convince your conducter to pick pieces that give us good parts. good luck! you`ll have your very own french horn player in no time.

My tip would be to post this in another forum. You won`t find many horn players hanging around this one.

Yes, I know. What I meant when I said "another forum" was either the trombone or the trumpet forum, which are more closely related to the french horn then the 8notes forum.

Tell the horn player how you feel about the sound of the french horn, and about their sound in particular. Most horn players I`ve found love their instrument and are happy to receive compliments on it.
