Why necessarily stay in the US? There are some fabulous schools outside of the `square you live in` and if you`re really serious about playing professionally, its often a good idea to study, at least partially, elsewhere. If you find a great school in the US, all the power to you, but don`t discount other countries as it can be good to learn different styles of orchestral playing. Take a chance
