im a beginning trumpet player and i cant get th high notes, its really a big challenge for me. everyone else in my school band can the hi notes. what should i do? i would appreciate all replies.

hey don`t worry its ok i would recomend getting a private teacher. u could probly gwet a pretty cheep and good one thats a high school student. Was in the lowest band im my school i got lessons the next year i was 2nd chair in the highest band in the school lesason help a lot and practice to.

keep trying young whipper snapper! You can do it. I`ve been playing trumpet for 52 years now and i have taught three of my grandchildren how to play. My advice is...... Wash your elbows before playing clear your nostrils and practice while sitting on the toilet and lift your eyebrows when trying to reach those high note they can be quite difficult sometimes so just keep moving those eyebrows.!It help if you do eyebrow exercises 5 minutes each day.
