Go forth with confidence. Your director must have faith in your skills as an oboe player if he promoted you to a more advanced band. Don`t let those clarinets and flutes get you down... they`re just jealous that you get all the great solos. Remember while they are a dime a dozen, you are an oboe player, all of which are rare, unique, and distinct. have fun.
