Hi all
Please bear with me hear as I am a new flute flutist - i.e. I bought one which arrived yesterday!! I can produce quite a decent sound, and am very musical (I played the cello for 14 yrs to a high standard) but decided to migrate to something smaller )
Anyway, my point is that I can`t for the life of me produce a B natural!! I have looked all over the place on the net for fingering charts but being a newbie I don`t understand what they mean. Can someone tell me where to put my fingers (without being rude )
Many thanks
Ali

I`m sure there`s not a key missing.
Your index finger goes on a small key that apears to have no hole underneath it. Your thumb goes on the larger of the two keys at the back.

Thanks very much Liz, got it now! Didn`t realise the thumb key had two options! D`oh!!
(I was only joking when I said there was a key missing )
