we have set up an FTP sheet music site on DC++ (like kazaa) where people can trade, chat and get to know people. We have over 15,000 sheets in the group (with no duplicates). To register to use the site you do however need to bring some new sheets into the group (at least 50 new sheets scanned). You can also bring unscanned sheets/books but they need to scanned in the near future.

It caters for a lot of different types of music like pop, classical, jazz, japanese, etc...
I will need you to do up a list of your sheets to check for duplicates. e-mail me and I`ll send u a sample list of the format for your list. It is possible to convert the www.pianofiles.com list into excel document so its just a matter copying a paste and adding a few fields extra fields to the list.

The way it works is that you connect to an FTP site, enter your name and password and then there is a list of people already logged in so u can chat to them...a bit like msn
And you can also right click on the name and download the list of the sheets they are sharing...so u can download/upload directly to their computer and visa versa
And if the connection breaks or the user logs out...it will restart the next time u log back in.and you are both in the hub so that`s basically how it works

The amount of sheets u have access to (by trading) is proportional to the amount of new sheets u bring (people don`t want to have say 40 copies of the same sheet in the group)
e.g. if there are 10 members and you bring 100 new sheets then you can have access up to 1000 sheets (100 from each user by trading) I personally can only trade at the weekends...so u won`t see me in there during the week...There are currently over 60 people signed up...trading over 20,000 sheets but they are not signed in at once...
