um i play the bass and i would like to play the basson for fun but where do i start? and um what key is it in and the bassclarinet is in the bflat key so im in a pickle.i want to learn i can get a sound out of it and i see it is in the bass claf i have never read that help? grrr frustrated soum if you could tell me how to start that would be grrreat

Well, I think I might be able to help. I can play many instrument is both clefs and the key it to not get frustrated. Just keep practicing. Bassoon is in the key of C or concert pitch. Like oboe, flute, trombone, and others. I would find a good lesson book which shows you how to hold, assemble, and play the instrument. Also, Be careful. Bassoons are expensive.
